SCHOOL
Originally the kitchen of a large dairy property home at Tamborine, this heritage listed slab building has had a wonderful journey to now represent the early 1900s school at Tamborine Mountain Heritage Centre.
Volunteers dismantled the building, numbered all the slabs and reconstructed it on its current site. Visitors can travel back in time to the days of the one-teacher school, equipped with many authentic pieces of school memorabilia. Guaranteed to hear the comment... "oh, I remember that book".
